Wait! This week's Deal of the Week is full of add ons for one of our favourite games of 2009, the co-op adventure Resident Evil 5. If you've already finished the game, and have been looking for an excuse to go back, now's the perfect time, as the co-op expansions, and the competitive multiplayer mode are being heavily discounted for the next week. So c'mon, and check them out!
Lost In Nightmares - 40% Off
Was: 400 Microsoft Points (about £3.33)
Now: 240 Microsoft Points (about £2.00)
During the main story of Resident Evil 5, Chris Redfield tells his current partner, Sheva, about a mission where he lost his parter Jill Valentine - in Lost In Nightmares, you can now find out what went on during that mission at Spencer's Estate. This add on forms the first episode of a multi-part story.
Desperate Escape - 40% Off
Was: 400 Microsoft Points (about £3.33)
Now: 240 Microsoft Points (about £2.00)
The second part of the multi-part story, Desperate Escape follows the story of Jill Valentine, after she's rescued by Chris Redfield, and is left to finish his mission for him. In this add on you can find out how she made it out on her own, as well discovering how Delta Team commander Josh Stone played a role in her escape. No, we've never heard of him either.
Untold Stories Bundle - 42% Off
Was: 960 Microsoft Points (about £8.00)
Now: 560 Microsoft Points (about £4.67)
Untold Stories is a bundle of Lost In Nightmares and Desperate Escape - the two parts of the what-happened-with-Jill-Valentine story. The bundle also includes two costume packs - the imaginatively named Costume Pack 1 and Costume Pack 2, for use in the Mercenaries Reunion mode.
Versus Mode - 40% Off
Was: 400 Microsoft Points (about £3.33)
Now: 240 Microsoft Points (about £2.00)
An obligatory online mode for Resident Evil 5, Versus Mode lets you play online - either alone or in a team - as Chris, Sheva and the other Resident Evil favourites in two modes. In slayers, you must defeat the Majini (the creepy zombie beasts), or in survivors, you must take down other players to try and be the last person - or team - standing.
