Just the other day, when browsing the internet, our detective skills led us to discover the as-then unannounced Just Dance: Summer Party, which we made sure to bring you news of as soon as our little fingers could type it up. In hindsight, however, it may have been wise to wait for a few hours, as Ubisoft have now confirmed the game's UK release, along with its official name - the slightly-more-boring sounding Just Dance 2: Extra Songs. As it turns out, our potential setlist was (mostly) right; although there are a couple of new, exclusive songs we didn't have:
- A R Rahman, Pussycat Dolls feat Nicole Scherzinger - Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)
- Sweat Invaders - Funkytown'
- As well as these that appeared in our potential setlist:
- A Band of Bees - Chicken Payback
- Blur - Song 2
- Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting (Dave Ruffy/Mark Wallis Remix)
- Estelle feat Kanye West - American Boy
- Katy Perry - Firework
- M/A/R/R/S - Pump Up The Volume
- Panic At The Disco - Nine In The Afternoon
- Rihanna - Pon De Replay
- Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild
- The Supremes - You Can't Hurry Love
- V V Brown - Crying Blood
- Countdown Dee's Hit Explosion - Barbie Girl
- Love Letter - Why oh why
- Nick Phoenix and Thomas Bergersen - Professeur Pumplestickle
- Studio Allstars - Maniac
- Sweat Invaders - Skin-to-Skin
- The Hit Crew - Here Comes The Hotstepper
- The Lemon Cubes - Mambo NO. 5 (A Little Bit Of Monica)
- The Lemon Cubes - Moving On Up
- The Reverend Horatio Duncan & Amos Sweets - Down By The Riverside
- The World Cup Girls - Futebol Crazy
If you've ever been on the Just Dance 2 online store, you might recognise the vast majority of the setlist - and with good reason, as all of the songs, bar the first two, have been previously only available via download. Although Just Dance 2: Extra Songs isn't quite the definitive collection, with Dexy's Midnight Runners' 'Come On Eileen', The Spice Girls - 'Spice Up Your Life', Tom Jones' 'It's Not Unusual' and 'Crazy Christmas' by Santa Clones all missing, it's still a great way to shore up your collection of Just Dance songs - for a cheaper price than buying them all individually. Better yet, for those who don't own Just Dance 2, Just Dance: Extra Songs is a stand alone game, meaning you won't need Just Dance 2 in order to play.
Just Dance 2: Extra Songs features a total of 21 songs (which would cost a whopping £44 if bought off the store individually), and launches sometime next month - we'll let you know when we hear a date, so don't forget to check back.
