Frozen in ice in an unknown land, your avatar bursts out – much to the surprise of the local miniature people (or maybe you're just really big) known as Keflings. Deciding to help out the little people, you'll spend most of your time building, expanding and customising their kingdoms, managing resources and delegating jobs – each with their own unique hat – as well as completing various requests for the Keflings. You'll journey through several exotic lands with their own cultures, from the Arctic to Arabia, meeting with all sorts of weird and wonderful people as you go - throughout your adventure you'll build a robot, rescue a princess, make friends with a dragon, expand your vocabulary with help from a nonsensical King and help a creepy witch get even creepier.
You don't have to journey to a distant land on your own though, as your friends can lend a hand, either online or offline – after all, with a whole world to explore, you'll need all the help you can get.
