Bodycount is an action oriented first person shooter, which mostly revolves around getting skillshots, which are awarded for killing enemies in special ways. Headshots are the most common of these, while others are awarded for shooting enemies from behind, killing enemies with mines or grenades, and shooting enemies through cover.
One thing to be aware of in Bodycount is that the difficulty level randomly spikes in several places. Sections which see you defending yourself against wave after wave of enemy, without anything to hide behind are commonplace, and can be more than a little bit challenging.
In terms of questionable content, Bodycount isn't actually too bad. While there is some gore, it's not over the top, with only mild splatters of red coming out when you shoot people, and there's no decapitations, or other such over the top gore. In terms of bad language, there are very few, with "ba*tard" being pretty much the only one we came across. Like many first person shooters, the game also lets you slice enemies with a knife, although it's not as gory as it sounds - all that happens is a knife moves past the enemy in front of you, and it damages them - depending on how much damage they've taken, it may kill them.
Sadly, Bodycount doesn't have a split-screen multiplayer mode, and only supports online play. Even then, it only has two multiplayer modes, which will likely both be so deserted in a few weeks time there's little reason buying this for the multiplayer along
