Yes, we know we only reported on the plans for Halo: Reach's launch yesterday, but since when have Microsoft made a habit out of making things easy for us?
Just a few hours ago, Microsoft have announced the plans for what appears to be called the "Halo: Reach launch festivities", but we're referring to by the much catchier moniker, the "Road to Reach". Set to take over the marketplace and dashboard over the next 7 days (which is handily the exact amount of time we've got left until Halo: Reach is upon us), the Road to Reach will see a huge amount of cut price offers on old downloadables, along with the release of several new promotional videos for the game, and a few new avatar items. The full schedule can be found below:
- 7 September - Day 7: "Halo: Reach Premium Theme"
- 8 September - Day 6: "Campaign Preview"
- 9 September - Day 5: "50% off Avatar Warthog Prop Offer"
- 10 September - Day 4: "Firefight Preview"
- 11 September - Day 3: "Deliver Hope - Director's Cut"
- 12 September - Day 2: "Multiplayer Preview"
- 13 September - Day 1: "Halo: Reach Collection Update (Avatar Items)"
For the duration of the Road to Reach, and the Invasion Week promotion we detailed yesterday, you'll also be able to buy the anime collection Halo Legends from the Zune Marketplace, for half price. Simply choose the Download to Own option, and the collection of seven shot animated films can be yours, in either standard, or super shiny High Definition, all at a bargain basement price.
Halo Legends is rated BBFC 12, while Halo: Reach is a PEGI 16.
