If there's one thing the puzzling Professor's taught us over the course of his last two mind-bending DS games, it's that with a bit of intuition, and a lot of logic, you can solve almost any problem.

So when it came to working out what the third game in the Professor's series might be called, gaming website Siliconera went about it the logical way, and came up with a convincing answer. Nintendo, apparently, have trademarked the term 'Professor Layton and the Unwound Future' - something that bears a striking similarity to the game's Japanese name, Professor Layton and the Final Time Travel.

With a Professor Layton film on the way in September, that's set after the events of the as yet unreleased third game, you'd imagine that the new Professor Layton - whatever it might be called - will be hitting stores before then.
