It's been a while since we've had a karaoke game gracing the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 - since the demise of Lips and lack of Singstars, there's been a definite singing-shaped hole on the high definition consoles. Most karaoke games seem to have given up on the two consoles altogether, and tend to head straight to the Wii instead, targeting the families and ladies that tend to make it their platform of choice. Which is why the emergence of Everyone Sing is a bit of a surprise, as it's set to release across the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii later this month.
Giving you a mic, a backing track, and a few on screen pitch bars to help you out, Everyone Sing is exactly as you'd expect a karaoke game would be, following the format set out by similar games like We Sing. As is always the case, a music game is only really as good as it's song selection, but on that front Everyone Sing seems to deliver, offering a wide range of genres and decades to make sure everyone at least knows a few. Whether you prefer your 90s boybands like Boyzone, your modern screechers like Jessie J or some retro Dusty Springfield, Everyone Sing has it all. So far only 22 of the 35 tracks that'll be on the disc have been announced, and the list is as follows:
- Girls Aloud - The Promise
- Marina & The Diamonds - Hollywood
- Example - Kickstarts
- Lionel Richie - All Night Long (All Night)
- Boyzone - Picture of You
- Kate Nash - Do-Wah-Doo
- Black Kids - I'm Not Going To Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance
- Nicki Minaj - Your Love
- The Wanted - All Time Low
- Nicole Scherzinger - Poison
- Jessie J - Nobody's Perfect
- Michael Buble - Haven't Met You Yet
- The Noisettes - Don't Upset The Rhythm
- Dusty Springfield - I Only Want To Be With You
- Taio Cruz - Come On Girl
- CeCe Peniston - Finally
- Rizzle Kicks - Down With The Trumpets
- The Saturdays - Ego
- Gina G - Ooh Ahh... Just A Little Bit
- Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha
- Billy Ray Cyrus - Achy Breaky Heart
- Ah-Ha - Take On Me
With support for up to four players and a range of different modes promised, Everyone Sing looks set to be one of those party games you keep coming back to, especially if you've got three friends in tow. Make sure you keep popping back in the coming weeks, as we'll hopefully get news on a solid release date, multiplayer modes and the remaining 13 songs before the game hits the shops towards the end of September.
