Just Dance 2014
Another multiplayer favourite, Just Dance 2014 lets you and up to three friends take to the dancefloor and jig about to a mix of chart-topping tunes, cheesy pop and old favourites, with the YMCA, Gaga's Just Dance and ABBA all making an appearance. Making a name for itself by virtue of being so incredibly easy to pick up and play, this is a great game to get everyone up and moving on Christmas day - all you need to do is grab a Playstation Move controller, stand in front of the camera, and copy the moves of the dancers on-screen, Simon Says style. With tons of different dance routines on offer, some that see everyone doing the same moves, some where you'll be performing moves that compliment each other, and some that seem to have been designed to cause max embarrassment for unsuspecting couples, like the slow, romantic twirls of George Michael's Careless Whisper, there's plenty of scope for giggles here. Predominantly competitive, you'll go all out against your friends to see who can get the highest score by being as in time, and accurate as is possible - although when contending with grandpa's hip thrusts to Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky', that may be easier said than done... It's worth bearing in mind, though, you will need a Playstation Eye camera and as Playstation Move controller for each player.

Little Big Planet 2
What do you do when an inter-dimensional vacuum cleaner known as the Negativitron threatens to suck up the universe and everything inside it? In the world of Little Big Planet, it seems the answer the cute and courageous Sackboy comes up with is to set out on an adventure to save the world, with brand new abilities, an arsenal of new gadgets and of course, plenty of creative ways to get the job done. A platform game for up to four players, the levels in Little Big Planet 2 see you fighting cupcake monsters, following fireflies through a deadly darkened room and steering a high-speed caterpillar up a tree in a crazy co-op adventure that's best enjoyed with friends. But here, the built-in levels are only half of the fun - if that. Where the game really comes into it's own is in its almost limitless creative possibilities, with a massively deep level editor and tons of stickers, objects and platforms you can collect and put to good use in your own creations. With an immensely talented online community behind it, you can download all sorts of additional levels to play - for free - from the second you load the game, from a scarily realistic rendition of Bioshock's intro to a rather bizarre Little Big Planet take on Mario Kart, making this a great pick if you have a particularly creative kid.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
The second Ratchet & Clank game to make the list, this one turns what is traditionally a single-player space-trotting adventure into a co-operative four player smash 'em up that's almost like a playable Pixar film. When Dr. Nefarious' latest scheme goes a tad wrong, the universe's biggest super villain begrudgingly teams up with the galaxy's most famous do-gooders - Ratchet, Clank and the somewhat hopeless Captain Qwark - with hilarious consequences, as they try and escape the dangerous, alien-filled world they find themselves in. Working together, the unlikely team mates leap across ravines, battle angry robot-monsters and solve simple puzzles in an explosive adventure, complete with the series-staple insane weapons - such as the Darkstar Fission Tether, a gun of sorts that connects each player together with a web of electricity and a gun which summons forth storm clouds, which get progressively more powerful as more players join in. Our personal favourite, the antagonistic talking robot creature/weapon called Mr. Zurkon, also returns, with multiple players Zurkons able to team up and do extra damage - and hurl insults at the bad guys.
