Today's Kinect title is Ubisoft's MotionSports - a mini-game sports collection, much along the vein of Wii Sports, but which features a few slightly more unusual pastimes in which you can partake - like hang gliding and horse riding - amongst the standard football and boxing games.
Microsoft's Kinect camera tracks your entire body and uses your body movements to control what's happening on the screen, without the need for any controllers. So, in MotionSports, you simply need to kick a ball, pretend you're riding a giant invisible hand-glider, or mime riding a horse - however you might do that. Joking aside, MotionSports seems to be more than just a mini-game sports collection, having a career mode, where you start out as a local sports person - not really known by anyone - and progress to international acclaim, gaining fans as you go. With a multiplayer mode that lets you pit yourself against a friend in split-screen, and a variety of ways you can interfere and put your opponent off, this one's looking like it'll be a lot of fun when you're playing with a friend. Which is exactly what Kinect should be all about.
MotionSports is priced at £40, and is due out on the 10th November, along with the Kinect camera. Until then, we'll be running a 'Countdown to Kinect', with a new game every day, as well as a FAQ to answer all your Kinect-related questions. In the mean time, why not whet your appetite with a trailer for MotionSports, which is about all Ubisoft have released about the game, being the cagey types they are:
