Parent's Guide

When we were young, we used to dream of nothing else but flying - literally. Sadly, our dreams of jumping, and suddenly realising we could fly still have yet to be realised, but, as a game that embodies all that's fun about flying, our ten year old self would have loved to get their hands on Pilotwings almost as much as we did.

With its simplified approach to flying, Pilotwings is a game that can be appreciated by children of all ages. While the longevity is a slight sticking point, if your child's the sort who loves to see and do everything there is to do in a game, this is a game that'll keep them occupied for an age. While getting the two required stars on each of the level may take several attempts, getting three stars, or a perfect rating will take a level of precision and skill that your child will only achieve through a lot of practice - and some incredible hand-eye co-ordination.

But while younger players may struggle to get the necessary two stars on each mission to unlock the next tier, the free flight mode will provide hours of entertainment, simply through letting your child explore the island at their own free will, as they hunt down numerous collectible items. There's very little reading involved here too, with a sentence describing what you have to do in each mission being as taxing as it gets, and even then, it's usually pretty easy to guess.

As a game that explores the fun of flight, Pilotwings: Resort is a game that comes highly recommended for children over the age of eight.

Mature Content

With nothing in the way of sex, violence or swearing, there's nothing for parents to worry about in Pilotwings: Resort - just lots of planes, lots of bright colours, and lots of challenge.

Family Multiplayer

Sadly, there's no multiplayer mode in Pilotwings: Resort, so there's little opportunity for Mom or Dad to get involved.
