Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 is a very simple 3D platformer game along the lines of Super Mario 3D World, only without the co-op multiplayer (Pac-Man is strictly single player only). Based on the TV show of the same name, the game takes you into the land of Pac-World, where the evil general Betrayus has hatched yet another plan to take over the world - and it's up to you to stop him.
A simple, straightforward, yet solid platformer, Pac-Man is a game with a gentle pace. With basic puzzles waiting to be solved (mostly involving flipping switches, or figuring out which power up you have to use to reach a certain area), there's little here that younger players may stumble with, with new features and abilities being introduced gradually.
In terms of accessibility, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 is a game that knows its younger audience well. There's little in the way of reading to be done (and nothing that's truly essential to understanding the game), with plenty of quality voice overs explaining what needs to be done - and plenty of slapstick humour. In all, if you have a young Pac-Man fan - or a child who loves platformers - this is going to be right up their street.
There's nothing for parents to worry about at all here - no sex, violence, gore, or bad language. While the game does features weaponry, which you can use against the ghost enemies, the weapons are far from realistic, often firing lasers or balls of light - and let's face it, being Pac-Man, it's more fun to just chow down on them anyway.
