Michael Jackson: The Experience is a dancing game for Kinect, which asks your little one to dance along to 29 classic Michael Jackson tracks, including Beat It, Black or White, and Thriller. Using the Kinect sensor to track their whole body, your child will have to follow a series of stick people at the side of the screen, and backing dancers that jig about in the background, copying the moves they do to score points.
If you're looking for a Michael Jackson game to get for your kids, you'd probably be best off looking at the Wii version. Using Kinect is a lot harder to get your head around than a Wii Remote, and the fact that it tracks your whole body means you have to be a lot more accurate than you do with a Wii Remote. It's also rather tricky to tell what you're actually meant to be doing by following the vague, motionless stick men at the side of the screen.
That said, it's impossible to fail the songs, but missing every single move that comes past isn't that much fun either. It's a game that takes a lot of practice before you'll be able to perform the routines it asks you to do, and whether your child has the necessary patience will depend on the child. For an easier, more family friendly MJ game, look to the Wii Version instead.
Michael Jackson: The Experience is a mostly harmless experience for young children to play. The only questionable content in here is the mild bad language that appears in some songs. If you're familiar with Michael Jackson's songs, you'll know what's on here - there's no swearing, but there is some mild innuendo.
Michael Jackson: The Experience does have a multiplayer mode, which lets four people take it in turns to dance through sections of the song. For parties and the inexperienced, it can be a bit confusing, as judging what moves you're meant to do in the game is so tricky, although that can lead to all sorts of unintentional hilarity. You'll need a big living room to be able to line up and take it in turns though.
