This week, as part of a Movie-Mania promotion, Xbox Live are offering gold members 50% off movie-related games and add-ons.
Prince Of Persia Classic
In Prince Of Persia Classic, you play as a nameless protagonist, locked up because the princess - the evil Jaffar's love interest - has taken an interest in you instead of him. You must escape from the jealous Jaffar's castle and save the princess, by bouncing off walls, leaping to seemingly unreachable platforms, and dodging the evil Jaffar's traps, before the princess either marries Jaffar, or gets killed for refusing. The game even enforces a strict time limit, giving you sixty minutes in which to complete the game. No pressure.
Down from 800 points, the Prince now costs just 400 Microsoft points, or (£3.40~).
Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen
(Loosely) based on the popular film, Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen lets you play as either the Autobots or the Decepticons, as they wage war in the way only a giant transforming robot can. The game features two complete campaigns - one for each of the sides - upgradable abilities and the ability to switch between robot, vehicle and battle forms mid-battle.
The Character and Map pack add-on, which adds 11 extra characters, 3 maps, achievements and a new expert mode, where the single player campaign is increased in difficulty, is available until the end of this week for 400 Microsoft points (which is about £3.40).
Watchmen: The End Is Nigh (Part 1)
Designed as prequels to the film, the episodic Watchmen: The End Is Nigh series follows the story of Rorschach and Nite Owl II, two crime-fighting vigilantes. Upon hearing a police bulletin, Nite Owl and Rorschach make their way to Sing Sing prison to help quell the rioting that has erupted there. The gameplay alternates between beat 'em up action sequences and puzzle-solving, with Rorschach and Nite Owl II having different moves, strengths and weaknesses - a bit like the LEGO games - and combining these abilities, and working co-operatively is the key to solving many of the puzzles.
Originally priced at an eye-searing 1600 Microsoft Points for around three hours of gameplay, for this week only, it's down to the price it should have launched at - a much more reasonable 800 points, or £6.80~.
