After laying the smack down on the home consoles earlier this year, THQ's more arcadey take on the wacky world of the WWE, WWE All Stars will be leg dropping its way onto the 3DS in glorious 3D this November.
A port of the Xbox 360/PS3 version of the game, WWE All Stars is a much more light hearted take on the wonderful world of wrestling. Less like a serious simulation, and more like an over the top beat 'em up, you'll be throwing your opponents ten feet in the air, catching them half way down, slamming them into the mat, and then grabbing them again when they bounce back up. It's a fast paced game of combos and ridiculously puffed up wrestlers, all of which made this a button mashing classic on the home consoles.
Featuring a mix of WWE Legends like Hulk Hogan, the Rock and the late Randy Savage, along with the biggest names of today, WWE All Stars lets you pit the Superstars of the past against the wrestlers of today, letting you create all sorts of "dream matches" that never happened, or didn't take place when both superstars were in their prime. The main mode, Fantasy Warfare mode, is comprised entirely of such matches - each introduced by a WWE produced video package, documenting each superstar, and giving every match that big match feel.
Even more souped up than before, the 3DS version of the game comes packing an extra 13 playable wrestlers, who were previously offered as downloadables on the Xbox 360 and PS3, along with two entirely new modes. The first, Gauntlet mode, is a survival competition against every WWE Superstar and Legend on the roster, whilst Score Scramble asks you to reach a specific point score within a time limit - presumably, you'll earn points for beating up your opponent.
With the same pick up and play gameplay as the console versions, plus a whole host of extras, WWE All Stars is shaping up to be something special. If you're a wrestling fan who hasn't yet picked up the original, make sure you get this on the 25th of November.
