Total Wipeout's something of an anomaly in the TV schedule. An old style, "it's a knockout" style competition, that replaces the silly costumes with gallons of mud, the show's gained a sizeable audience simply by allowing people to make complete spoons out of themselves on national television. So successful was the series, that it actually spawned its own game last year - the bizarrely named "The Ultimate Red Ball Challenge", which, well, doesn't exactly sound child friendly.
So now that we've had our shot at making a game - complete with Richard Hammond hosting, it's time for the Americans to take their turn, with Wipeout: The Game. Published by Activision, this mini-game collection will see you taking part in each of the events in the TV series, and supports up to four players at a time, which should make for some manic parties.

Richard Hammond - has already had his shot at making a mini-game collection.
Popular TV show or not, though, we're a bit concerned that there may not be enough variety here to keep most people interested. Still, we'll reserve judgement until the game's release, which is only down as a vague "summer" at the moment.
