For those of you (like us) who've been waiting for a proper Final Fantasy game on recent Nintedo home consoles, the wait is finally over! Yes, it may well be the first one, in glorious NES-o-vision on the Virtual Console, but you've got to start somewhere. Also up this week is Pub Darts, ideal for those nights when you're too tired to even go to the pub. Read on for all the details.
Virtual Console - FINAL FANTASY (SQUARE ENIX, NES, 600 Wii Points)
The world is in chaos, and four young warriors appear from nowhere to save the day.
From the days when that kind of story wasn't incredibly clichéd, you can now enjoy the first ever Final Fantasy in all of it's NES glory on the Virtual Console. Whilst it might lack the polish and depth of recent games, it's still interesting to see where the series started.
WiiWare - Pub Darts (Big Blue Bubble Inc., 500 Wii Points)
If you've ever fancied yourself as a bit of a darts player, but you don't have the space in the house to keep a dart board, Pub Darts is the answer to all your problems.
Wielding the Wiimote as a dart, the intuitive controls mean it's easy to get to grips with. Pub Darts features a selection of the top darts games, including 501, Cricket, Around the Clock, Killer, and Baseball, perfect for whiling away those lazy Sunday evenings.Check back in the next few days for full reviews of both games!
