The sequel to the much-loved We Sing is (nearly) here! Due out in July this year, We Sing Encore will include forty new songs, as well as a whole host of new modes, for both single players and groups of up to four people.
Offering up a new setlist, that's bursting with songs from practically every genre imaginable, the game looks set to do a great job of offering something for everyone, from the 90s kitsch of I'm Too Sexy (Right Said Fred), all the way through to Lynyrd Skynyrd's iconic Sweet Home Alabama, and more modern tracks that'll appeal to the kids and adults alike, such as Fight For This Love (Cheryl Cole), and Don't Stop Movin' (S Club 7).
And while we're expecting the gameplay to mostly be more of the same virtual karaoke fun - albeit with a brand new soundtrack - it wouldn't be a sequel without a few tweaks to the formula - the largest of which seems to be the new rewards and achievements, which set challenges for people playing in either single player, or competitive or co-operative multiplayer.
With the addition of a 'real karaoke' mode, the game also promises to sort the karaoke masters out from the disco divas, by removing the backing vocals entirely, while those who just fancy messing around can play back their own performances and add effects to their voices.
Other gameplay enhancements include the introduction of 'Star Notes' and a new jukebox mode allowing non-stop music - what these entail, we're not sure.
And even better - for those of you who've never played a We Sing game before (or if you're a little bit self conscious about your voice) We Sing Encore even offers virtual singing lessons that promise to "teach players how to sing like professionals" - although hopefully, they'll be without the nerve-wracking exams.
