It's that time of year again - Microsoft's annual Summer of Arcade, where they round up five Arcade Games and release one a week for a (mostly) seemingly inflated price, as part of a promotion. Usually, they offer some of your points back if you buy all five games, to try and incentivise your spending - this time you get a free game if you buy them all. Although that requires you to buy a Kinect-only game - which could be a problem if you don't yet own it.
From Dust
Price: 1200 Microsoft Points (about £10.20)
From Dust actually sounds like quite an interesting game. Putting you in the heavenly shoes of a God, you're basically baby-sitting a tribe of people, controlling nature around them to make sure nothing bad happens to them - recovering their tribe's long-lost knowledge and powers as you go. With your new powers, you can raise the land to make hills, move water to erode land and lead lava to where you want rock to form once it cools - using these creatively, you'll need to ensure the safety of your tribe as they're ravaged by natural disasters like tsunamis and eruptions. It's a thinking man's game - and one you'd do well to try out.
