We always like games that make you think - that's one of the reasons we liked the original Scribblenauts so much.
An incredibly innovative game, Scribblenauts challenged you to retrieve a "Starite" from a variety of precarious places in a level, using... well, anything you could think of. With tens of thousands of objects built into the game, all you had to do was write the name of a "thing", and Scribblenauts would create it in the game. Allowing an impressive level of freedom, whilst also providing plenty of replay value, Scribblenauts let you solve the challenges however you wanted, and rewarded you for being inventive (or just plain crazy).
Continuing the trend for innovation, it was today announced that the sequel will be known as "Super Scribblenauts", rather than the slightly predictable "Scribblenauts 2" everyone's been calling it up until now. Pretty snazzy, we're sure you'll agree, although it doesn't quite top our attempt - "Super Try And Retrieve Items Through Experimentation - With Adjectives Now Tacked on", or "Starite Want" for short.
Letting you use adjectives to give the game's items unique properties, Super Scribblenauts is down for an Autumn 2010 release on these shores. You can check out our preview here for more information.
