PokéPark Wii gets European release

Pikachu based Theme-Park adventure dated for July

PokéPark Wii gets European release
28th May, 2010 By Ian Morris

We've always wanted to visit the Pokémon theme park in Japan, but the cost of plane tickets and the day long flights to get to and from Japan always seem to put us off.

Words can't express how much fun we'd have on that. We'd be like kids at Disneyland.

Thankfully, we can now enjoy some PokéPark related fun in the comfort of our own home. Well... As soon as July comes around, anyway.

PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Big Adventure sees you playing as everyone favourite electric mouse as he races to collect the fragments of the Sky Prism (A mysterious gem that protects the PokéPark from harm) and rescue the PokéPark from tradegy.

In order to get the fragments of the Sky Prism back, Pikachu must journey to the different zones of the PokéPark and ride the attractions in order to find the fragments. Each attraction takes the shape of a mini-game, where you'll need to control the Wiimote with precision to fly, swim and skate to victory.

As Pikachu isn't suited to every environment, he will need to enlist the help of other Pokémon, who'll join Pikachu's cause through the course of the game, but not before Pikachu has shown them his skills in a battle, a game of hide and seek, or a chase.

In battles, Pikachu can use his typical array of moves, including Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, and Iron Tail.

PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Big Adventure is due to come out on the 9th of July. Check back in a few weeks for our full review.
