Reality TV talent shows - they were all the rage at one point (we still remember Hear'Say) and one quick look down a TV Guide suggests they're still going strong. Giving us such pop 'greats' as granny's favourite Will Young, Carly 'Call Me Maybe' Rae Jepsen and Leona Lewis, they're undoubtedly popular with the young 'uns - even if you'd be more likely to count us amongst the folks flipping to the other side for Dad's Army reruns. But for those of you who've always fancied your chances on one of the talent shows, but never had the confidence to go for an audition, BigBen Interactive have the answer, in the form of it's newest karaoke venture - The Voice.

Based on the TV show of the same name, one of the "most watched music TV shows" in the world, The Voice lets you take in "the show's unique atmosphere", from the blind auditions, to the battles and the live show - and of course, the famous red chairs. Promising to let you sing along to all your favourite hits and their accompanying music videos, you'll be able to step into the shoes of your favourite acts from the comfort of your living room. There's relatively little on what the game will actually involve, but we're imagining it'll just be a fairly straight karaoke game, where you plug in your mic and pick your songs from a list. We can't help thinking a story mode taking you through the various stages of The Voice competition would be a pretty cool addition, though.

We wonder which judges The Voice game will have.

Officially licensed by ITV, the game is being developed by Voxler, a French company with more than ten years of experience in making karaoke games - the most notable of which is the Let's Sing series. Nicolas Delorme, CEO of Voxler, said "We are very happy to be working with Bigben on this ambitious project, and we will bring all of our experience and passion to bear to reproduce the experience of The Voice in a video game as faithfully as possible." Precisely what this will entail, we imagine will be revealed in the coming months, along with a song list.

Somewhat strangely, The Voice will be launching on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and Wii - not Wii U - towards the end of 2016. Of course, Wii games all work on the Wii U too, so you won't be missing out if you were one of the five people who bought Nintendo's latest console either.
