It's been getting a bit confusing lately, monitoring the Pokemon rumours that have been flying around. First, it seemed that the 3DS was meant to be getting a port of Pokemon: Gale of Darkness XD, but it's now seeming that the magazine scans we featured were fake. In the meantime, however, Dengeki Nintendo magazine have announced that they'd be featuring new details on an as-yet unannounced Pokemon game in their issue out on the 21st of May.
Many were expecting the details to release before then, in the latest issue of Japanese Poke-mad magazine, CoroCoro, which is usually the first to hear about any new Poke-game. However, their most recent issue was sadly blank in terms Poke-news, bar a brief mention that details of a new game will be coming in their next issue, which is set for a release on the 15th June, a date which conveniently falls after the mega gaming show, E3.
Will we be seeing a surprise Pokemon game unveiling at E3? It's seeming increasingly likely. Speculation is rife about what the new game may be, as with Pokemon Black and White still selling strongly, it may be a bit early to expect a whole new edition in the vein of the DS RPGs. A spin-off seems much more likely, with a new Pokemon Ranger, or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon seeming to be the frontrunners. It's worth bearing in mind that Satoru Iwata has mentioned that Pokemon games are in development for the 3DS and Wii - so we could be on for a double does of info.
Of course, we'll let you know more as soon as we get it - but it's looking like an interesting month for Pokefans. To get the latest as it happens, why not sign up to our Facebook page, and stay in the know.
