It's a great day for Playstation All Stars Battle Royale beat 'em up enthusiasts, as two new fighters have been added to the PSN store. And if that doesn't excite you enough, these new characters will completely free to download for the next fortnight! In one corner of the arena, we have Kat, the heroine of Playstation Vita gem Gravity Rush. Kat is able to control and manipulate gravity, letting her fly across the screen in all sorts of dizzying ways, and even repel and attract her foes... as well as chucking the odd vase at your head. In the other corner, we have Emmett Graves, PS3's Starhawk's... um... star. Heavily reliant on guns, he's able to summon gun turrets and cases from the sky, providing him additional weaponry for his arsenal, and with the ability to even get into a trigger happy mecha for his ultimate move, he's definitely a mercenary you don't want to get on the wrong side of.
But far from just being a half-hearted extra, both downloadable characters are every bit as well-rounded as the ones that came on the disc, with each coming with their own single player Arcade Story, and unlockable costumes too - so don't hesitate to get them while they're free!
Fans will also be delighted to discover a brand new stage is also available to download, called Fearless, which is a mash up of Heavenly Sword and Wipeout. You start out on an ancient dais high in the air with ninjas around you, before futuristic racing vehicles crash into the stage and send you down to the ground below, making the stage into an eccentric fusion of old and new. Just be sure to avoid the vehicles flying past. Sadly, Fearless isn't free, costing £1.59 to download from the PSN store, but you can still play it in Arcade and Online without purchasing it - you just won't be able to select it yourself in modes like Versus and Training. In other stage news, the game's Rival Arena stage (where the game's boss fights take place) has been added to play in modes such as Online and Versus; this is completely free and you need only update the game to discover this change.

A collection of new minions have also been added to download to cheer you on in battle. You can buy them separately for £0.49, or buy them in packs which will cost you slightly less. The list of them can be found below;
