OK, we'll admit it. We're suckers for any game that lets you control some sort of vehicle in a WW2 setting. Whether it's a flight sim, like Il-2 Sturmovik, or an everything simulator like Battlestations: Pacific, we get ourselves rather excited at the prospect of anything involving the last world war. We'd probably even get excited over "WW2 Karts", if anyone ever decided to make such a monstrosity a reality.
Which is why, when we heard about Naval Assault: The Killing Tide, our ears perked up with interest. Letting you captain your own submarine through 30 missions of WW2 goodness, defending yourself from attack by planes, depth charges, and other submarines, Naval Assault sounds right up our street - even if the game does look like it's taking place in someone's bath, rather than in the vast depths of the Pacific.
But, as we've always said on Outcyders - here, the gameplay is king, and we plan to stick to our guns - or deck guns, in this case. So, with a healthy dose of stealth required, and a plot that promises to take in the key naval battles of WW2, we're counting down the days to the game release on June 15th.
