Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom gets a Facebook game
22nd October, 2010 By Sarah Morris

Ever since we heard about 'Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom', we've been interested in it. Playing as a young man who's guided by the voices of migrating birds, it's up to you to take on a quest, and save the kingdom from a mysterious darkness that's swamped it for the past century. The darkness seemed to begin in the palace, but as very few people lived to tell the tale, no-one really knows what happened, and the civilisation now lies abandoned. By working with the kind-of-cute ogre, Majin, exploring the world, solving puzzles and defeating enemies, you can help save the kingdom from almost certain destruction, and awaken it from it's eternal slumber.

He does look kind of cute, in a forest-y, gruffalo-y way...

Sadly, there's over a month to wait till it's release - which is due on the 26th November. But until then, the nice people at Game Republic have put together this Facebook game to tide us over. A pretty simple little platform game, with two main levels, it's up to you to try to make your way to the top of the screen to rescue your Facebook friends - and in between these levels, you'll be treated to a puzzle stage, where you need to match three symbols on a grid.

With just over a month to go to the release, we should be getting more on the game soon - so check back for more information. Till then, here's a trailer to keep you going, and introduce you to the game's gentle giant:
