A few months back, a survey came to light that mentioned two new instalments in the terrifying horror franchise, Dead Space, known as Dead Space: Extraction, an Xbox Live Arcade version of the Wii Lightgun title, and Dead Space: Planet Cracker, a strategy game where you manage a CEC Mining Operation.

Dead Space: Extraction sees you wielding your Wiimote like a gun to defeat hordes of crazy aliens to discover where they came from, and why.

Well, it seems that at least one of those games is happening, as a rendering engineer at EA Montreal put on his CV that he'd been working on Dead Space Extraction for the Xbox Live Arcade.

Here's the incriminating evidence, taken from the engineers LinkedIn page before they removed it.

But while the news of the game's development has been leaked, there's still no official announcement about Dead Space: Extraction on the 360. Quite how the lightgun aspect will work on the 360, we're not sure - could this be one of the first Xbox Live Arcade titles to making use of Natal? It certainly seems likely.

As is always the way at this time of year, we expect to have more news when the Electronic Entertainment Expo kicks off in just a few days time.
