LEGO Wii Remotes unveiled

A match built in heaven

LEGO Wii Remotes unveiled

LEGO is awesome. The Wii is also awesome. So, when we heard about a LEGO Play & Build Wii Remote, everyone at Everybody Plays Towers was quite excited. Especially when we heard you could build on it.

Made by peripherals manufacturer, Power A, the LEGO Wii Remote comes with 31 mini LEGO tiles and a tile separator - so you can customise your Wii Remote however you want. It also has a buildable battery cover, which means you can make a stand of whatever you want and attach your Wii Remote to it - whether it be a millennium falcon, giant penguin or just the most awesome stand ever known to man - as long as it's made of LEGO, it'll work.

It's like LEGO Harry Potter and the Wii had a baby...

The Wii Remote is compatible with all the extension controllers and with Wii Motion Plus - although we wonder how well the Wii Remote Jacket that Nintendo seem to like reminding you to use will work. Especially if you have a LEGO something or other strapped to the bottom.

Unfortunately, for the time being, it's only available in America from Friday, exclusively from Toys 'R' Us, priced at $39.99 - which is only $5 more than their regular Wii Remotes. Hopefully, there'll be a UK release date soon.
