A game that seems to come up in the deal of the week nearly as often as Risk: Factions, Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light is back for another go, but this time with its add-ons discounted too, along with a T-Rex Avatar pet, if you're interested in that sort of thing. Just don't bother looking for add-on pack 2 - it doesn't actually exist.
Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light
Was: 1200 Microsoft Points (about £10.20)
Now: 600 Microsoft Points (about £10.20)
Lara Croft's first co-op adventure lets you and a friend team up in a search for over sixty artefacts and relics in - you guessed it - a tomb. A long time ago, Totec, the Guardian of Light imprisoned the evil Keeper of Darkness, Xolotl in the Mirror of Smoke to keep him from causing any more trouble. But when the mirror falls into the wrong hands, the evil deity's released, and it's up to Totec and Lara to put him back in his place. Both Lara and the Mayan tribesman, Totec, have their own unique skills and weapons, meaning you'll need to work together to solve puzzles and avoid the many deadly traps.
All The Trappings Challenge Pack 1
Was: 400 Microsoft Points (about £3.40)
Now: 200 Microsoft Points (about £1.70)
Despite extensive searching, we managed to find very, very little about either of the challenge packs. This one features "four new challenge maps filled with hordes of undead enemies and devious traps you must maneuver and exploit to survive.".
A Hazourdous Reunion Challenge Pack 3
Was: 400 Microsoft Points (about £3.40)
Now: 200 Microsoft Points (about £1.70)
Details on what happened to Challenge Pack 2 are almost as scant as the information on the available ones. This one contains "four new challenge maps featuring mind-boggling puzzles, waves of intense combat action, and a fiery reunion with an old friend.".
Raziel & Kain Character Pack
Was: 400 Microsoft Points (about £3.40)
Now: 200 Microsoft Points (about £1.70)
Ever wanted to play as Raziel and Kain from the Legacy of Kain games? Us neither, but even if you did, now's your chance to pay £1.70 for a new skin for Lara and Totec. I guess it's cheaper than cosmetic surgery at least...
T-Rex Pet
Was: 240 Microsoft Points (about £2.04)
Now: 120 Microsoft Points (about £1.02)
It's apparently a miniature T-Rex. Now, I don't know about you, but last time I checked, T-Rex's were supposed to be fearsome beasts. It's not even a whole T-Rex! It has no eyes! How is it supposed to see what it's failing to pick up with it's overly short arms!
