With gaming's largest tradeshow, E3, fast approaching (it's only two weeks away!), Ubisoft have just released the first few details of the games we should be seeing during the show.
In what's great news for dancing fans everywhere, Ubisoft have announced they'll be showing a new Just Dance game at the conference, although it's currently unknown what platforms it'll be appearing on. While it's almost a given that it'll be on the Wii, a debut on Nintendo's upcoming Wii 2, to counter the recently sort-of announced Zumba Fitness 2 wouldn't be out of the question. Keeping with the interesting-games-which-are-mysteriously-lacking-platforms theme, the French mega-publisher have also announced they'll be showing a new Raving Rabbids game at the conference, as well as another Your Shape, which is sure to satisfy lovers of lapins and squat thrusts, respectively. We're also kind of surprised to see a sequel to the pretty poor Motion Sports being announced, in the form of Motion Sports Adrenaline, as we didn't think too much of it when we took it for a review - apparently, the rest of you did. There's a few brand new games in with the bunch as well, by far the most interesting of which is Rocksmith, which is along the same lines as Guitar Hero and Rock Band - except you can plug in any real-life electric guitar to play, using an incredibly high tech, er, wire, which plugs into a USB on the one end, and a microphone on the other. There's also a tie-in based on the upcoming film, The Adventures of Tintin:Secret of the Unicorn.
We'll also get to return to the time of the Templars (this time in Constantinople) and generally be all historic in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, stealth our way round Norway after those pesky Russians in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon:Future Soldier and have a good old platform with the limb-lacking Rayman in Rayman Origins. There should also be appearances from Driver: San Francisco, which has you playing as undercover policeman, Tanner, in his coma-dream after a car crash, and Call of Juarez: The Cartel, which, unlike the previous games, is now set in modern-day gangland Mexico rather than the old wild west.
With a new Rabbids, new Just Dance, and the ever-interesting Rocksmith leading the way, it looks like Ubisoft's going to be one to watch at E3 this year. We'll bring you more as soon as we get it - in the mean time, why not sign up to our Facebook page, and be the first to get the news as it breaks!
