If you ask anyone to name a wrestler, the chances are, the first name that'll roll off their tongue is Hulk Hogan. The biggest name in professional wrestling throughout the 80s and 90s, and still an incredibly influential character in the industry today(if not an active wrestler), TNA and Southpeak have confirmed that the Hulkster will be throwing the odd big boot, and dropping a leg drop on the DS this June, in TNA iMPACT: Cross the Line.
Based on the major wrestling league, TNA, the game is a conversion of the TNA iMPACT title that was released on the 360 in 2008, with a few added features in the way of new DS touch screen controls, and a few additional wrestlers, including Mick Foley, and the aforementioned Hulkster.
Now in charge of the TNA license, TNA iMPACT: Cross the Line is the first in what we expect will be a series of TNA titles from Southpeak, designed to compete with the WWE's flagship wrestling series, Smackdown vs Raw.
On the Xbox 360, the TNA game was a blast - without the layer of sheen that comes with the WWE games, it was nevertheless a solid, old fashioned wrestling game, that provided more than its fair share of laughs in multiplayer, and is still a much played game at Outcyders HQ.
Say what you will about wrestling, but we can't get enough of the grappling games. TNA iMPACT will be finding its way into our DS's this June.
