Guitar Hero 5 adds avatar support on 360

We like Rhythm Action games. We know you do too. However, one thing we've never wished we had the opportunity to do is play as our 360 Avatar in a game. We've wished we had a better song selection, yes. We've wished we had more fingers, so we could manage Through the Fire and Flames on expert. But we've never wished we could play as an avatar.

If you have, however, then it's your lucky day, as Activision have announced you'll be able to put your avatars together, and form a band of rockers with oversized heads, strangely thin arms, and a collection of facial expressions that would give Keanu Reaves a run for his money in the emotionless stakes.

Hello, I'm Johnny Cash.

Or, you could choose to play as one of several licensed musicians who've leant their likenesses to the game. From Curt Cobain to Johnny Cash, there's a decent variety of musical personalities here, which are sure to complement Guitar Hero 5's huge selection of tracks.
