If you're a fan of games, and fancy getting your hands on the latest and greatest titles before anybody else (and this is especially important if, like us, you live in or around the West Midlands), then you may want to check out GAMEfest this weekend. Kicking off on Friday, through until Sunday, GAMEfest is your chance to get hands-on with the biggest titles that are going to be out this Christmas, all from the comfort of Birmingham's NEC.
Kicking things off on the Friday, GAMEfest gets underway with a raft of publishers, from Nintendo, Disney, Microsoft, Sony, Activision, THQ and Bethesda amongst others, all showing the highlights of their wares to the hungry public. Letting you get on with the biggest blockbusters and family games this Christmas, from Disney Universe to FIFA 12 and from Modern Warfare 3 to Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Mass Effect 3, there's something for everyone to play - letting you see what the biggest games are like before you buy them!
Just announced today is a new area called the HUB, where developers will be presenting their latest games to an audience of 300 in a specially designed theatre. The full schedule's available here, but if you want to see what Zelda: Skyward Sword has to offer, or fancy having a gander at Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, this is your chance! If you're interested in going along, the only tickets left are for the Friday, with the Saturday and the Sunday being completely sold out. All you need in order to buy a ticket is a GAME reward card. Tickets are £10 for adults, and £5 for children aged under 11, but it is worth remembering that children under 18 will not be allowed to play 18 rated games, like Modern Warfare 3, and so on. If your appetite's been well and truly whet, you can find out more information, and buy your tickets, here.
