Goodbye Galaxy Games today announced that their innovate puzzler, Flipper, will be launching on DSiWare next Friday.

Already creating a buzz throughout the gaming world thanks to its inventive ideas - and the fact it's been developed by a one man development team - Flipper puts you in the shoes of a nameless hero, who's lost his only friend in the world - a goldfish named flipper (big ahhh). Luckily for our hero, he's got you to guide him on his quest to retrieve his flippered friend, across 20 levels of puzzling goodness.

There's our man, looking clueless as ever. Unscalable wall. Fish on other side. What would you do?

With a limited number of items at your disposal at the start of each level, it's up to you to work out which items need to be used where, in order to ensure your safe passage to the end of the level. Featuring some charming retro graphics, and a thing called "Voxel" technology, Flipper will even allow you to blow holes in your environment, or rebuild things you've previously destroyed, which is bound to lead to some brain bending puzzles.

This is a pretty accurate approximation of what our face looks like when we're playing games like this. Wonder if it uses the DSi camera to accurately portray your confusion?

While it may sound fairly complex, the game's official website assures us it's a "fun and challenging puzzle game that is suitable for all ages", so we'll take its word for it. Hopefully, it'll all become clearer when we finally get our hands on it. Check back in the next couple of weeks for a full review.
