Who needs money when you have controllers as awesome as these?

Custom Halo 5 Witcher 3 Ori Xbox One controllers announced

We all want awesome controllers. That's just fact. There's never been a greater feeling than handing over the normal, boring controller to your baby sibling, and then picking up your epic, custom one, and feeling like you're king of the world - well, the world of controllers, that is. It's almost as cool as being that one kid with the holographic Charizard card on the playground (I could never afford the £120 they went for - Ed). Well, Microsoft are giving us the chance to again feel that awesome, with the reveal of a whole new series of custom Xbox One controllers - and they all look incredible.

With controllers based on the upcoming Halo 5, Battlefield Hardline, Witcher 3, State of Decay, Ori and the Blind Forest, Evolve and many more, these controllers are sure to show off your loyalty to your favourite game, while looking incredibly swish in the process. The catch? Well, they're not available to buy.

Look at how swish that Witcher 3 pad is in the bottom left.... Also, the Fable and Ori ones are pretty cool

The Ori controller is particularly gorgeous. Those colours... Even the box looks nice!

Joining love and happiness under the "things money can't buy" category, the only way to get your hands on one of these controllers was to enter a sweepstakes Microsoft ran at the recent PAX East expo in Boston. All you had to do is take a photo of one of the controllers seen at Microsoft's booth at PAX, and tweet @xbox with #XboxOne and #XboxSweeps hashtags - and you could have been in with a chance of winning.

But that isn't all. As if giving away a dozen custom controllers wasn't enough, one lucky attendee would also walk away with a custom Xbox One console, done up with a motif in the style of the upcoming fantasy RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Projekt Red's fantasy RPG is a highly anticipated title - and one of our most anticipated games of 2015 - promising an adventure that looks even better than this custom console. And that's no mean feat.

Here's a pic Gamespot managed to nab of the custom console. How gorgeous is this?

Unfortunately, there's no word on whether these custom controllers will ever see a retail release - or even a similar giveaway in the UK - but you can imagine that they'd fly off the shelves, should it ever happen. We'd pick up at least two of them, and it can't just be us. Either way, we'll be keeping a close eye on the floor at gamescom in Germany this summer - ready to take a photo of any controllers that may be lurking. You know, just in case.
