Just as Pokemon fever starts to grip the nation as we head ever closer to the game's 4th of March release, Nintendo have decided to ramp things up a notch by announcing the release of two brand-new, limited edition DSi consoles. With just a few weeks to go until the release, it was getting to the time when you might have been thinking about pre-ordering the game anyway - and if you think you could do with a new DS, or just have a thing for limited edition consoles (don't tempt me - Ian) - these might be just the thing you're looking for.
First comes the Pokemon White bundle, which features - you guessed it - a white DSi console, as well as a copy of the game. This isn't just an ordinary white DSi though, as this limited edition features the two legendary Pokemon from Pokemon Black and White, Zekrom and Reshiram outlined on the front. This bundle will be available at game stores and retailers across the country from the 4th of March, priced at about £160.
The second bundle, this time for the Pokemon Black Version of the game is rather similar, featuring a black DSi console with Zekrom and Reshiram outlined on the front, as well as a copy of the Black Version of the game. The difference with this one though, is that it's exclusive to GAME, so if you want this version you'll have to get it from there.
With Pokemon Black and White, the latest in the best selling series shaping up to be a major re-boot of the franchise, with re-vamped battles, a tonne of brand new pokemon and the ability to video chat to name but a few additions, there's already a lot to be looking forward to, with the new consoles the metaphorical icing on Nintendo's cake of brilliance. Both bundles are being released on the 4th of March - the same day as the Pokemon Black and White games - and should be priced at around about £160 each. If you want either of these bundles though, you'd be wise to pre-order them as soon as possible, as they're likely to go faster than a Snorlax's dinner.
