With hype now starting to reach fever pitch, it's somewhat strange that Nintendo have been so otherwise lax with announcing the details of the 3DS. To begin with, it took them forever to get round to announcing a UK release date, and even then, they didn't name an official price, instead leaving it up to the retailers to decide how much the market would bear.
Now, fashionably late as ever, Nintendo have confirmed the line-up of games you'll be able to purchase on release day - so get your thinking cap on now.

With a whopping 13 games available from the get go, it's a strong a varied line up that, to coin a phrase, arguably has something for everyone. Nintendogs + Cats, the sequel to one of Nintendo's best ever selling games is sure to appeal to children, and, er, most of the staff at Everybody Plays; Pilotwings Resort provides a relaxing introduction to the 3D; while games like LEGO Star Wars III, Super Monkey Ball and The Sims 3 all help round out a surprisingly varied and strong line up that, admittedly, seem to have been brought to you by the number 3 and the letter D.
With plenty of games available, we know it can be difficult to make up your mind, as you always want your first experience with a console to be a good one. Heaven forbid you should get stuck with a naff game for your 3DS. To help you make up your mind, we've linked the games we played at the recent 3DS event in Amsterdam to our hands-on previews for each game, so feel free to click, read our impressions, and work out which games are most worth of your money.
To be honest, in our experience, the answer is most of them. It's going to be an expensive day, come the 25th of March...
