If you're anything like us, you'll have been pouring more hours than you ever thought possible into the uber addictive Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory, since its release about a month ago.
Thing is, much like in Pokemon, part of the game in Digimon is catching (or creating) them all - and though Digimon doesn't lock certain monsters off to different versions of the same game, there are a few critters that are a little harder to get your hands on. Specifically, we're looking at the Royal Knight Digimons, Crusadermon NX, Leopardmon NX, Omnimon NX, Gallantmon NX and Alphamon NX, as well as the Sistermons - each of which you can get in your game, but which it's not entirely obvious how. Luckily, we've done the work for you, and rounded up how to add each of the Digimon below!
For reasons known only to Bandai Namco, the aforementioned handful of Digimon have been kept back as part of a 'free gift' - or a pre-order bonus if you're in America.
Europe Instructions
For Europe, you can get a bundle of Crusadermon NX, Leopardmon NX and Omnimon NX, plus Sistermon Ciel, Sistermon Blanc, and some random costumes completely free - so long as you sign up for the Bandai Namco official store. To get your hands on the 'mon, all you need to do is sign up for a Bandai Namco Store account, add the 'Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory / Ep!c Bundle DLC' to your basket, and then check out your free bundle, for the grand total of £0.00.
Once you've placed your order, they'll tell you you should get an email delivery of the code in a couple of days - we didn't. Instead, you might want to try logging into your account and heading over to 'My Account' in the top right corner, then switching to the 'Your Orders' tab. There, you'll see the Ep!c Bundle DLC in the list, and clicking on the 'Delivery: Download' link beneath it will take you to a summary page, with your activation key at the bottom. Redeem the 12 digit code on the Playstation Store, et voila, you're now the owner of a whole bunch of extras.
Once downloaded, you need to speak to the lady stood outside of Hudie HQ in the game to receive your new Digimon, making sure you've got enough party memory to fit them in - that's 18 for the NX 'mons, as you'll need to work your way manually through the Digivolutions to get the Sistermons, rather than getting them right off the bat.
US Instructions
For those in the US, unless you happened to pre-order the game, or lucked out with an early 'day one' edition with a code included, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get yourself Crusadermon NX, Leopardmon NX and Omnimon NX, unfortunately. However, the Playstation Store does have a free download of Sistermon Ciel and Sistermon Blanc that you might want to get downloading - whilst keeping your fingers crossed the remaining NX Digimon get added to the store at a later date too, as both Sistermons were originally part of the aforementioned pre-order pack. Those who do have a pre-order code can simply redeem said code on the Playstation Store, download their extras and go and speak to the Hudie HQ lady to claim their Digimon, making sure they have at least 18 free spaces in their party for each of the NX 'mons.
The other Digimon
The other two remaining Digimon - Alphamon NX and Gallantmon NX - are part of a paid download on the Playstation Store, in both territories. The DLC, priced at £3.29 in the UK and $3.99 in the US, adds the two 'mons to your game directly, and once downloaded, you can retrieve your Digimons by speaking to the lady outside Hudie, as before.
From there, it's simply a matter of the long slog that is trying to fill out your Field Guide, and unfortunately, we can't help in that department - although, why not check out our list of all 340 Digimon in Cyber Slueth: Hacker's Memory to see if your favourites have made it into the game? In the meantime, keep checking back for more Digimon coverage, hints and tips!
