Exciting times for Pokémon fans! For a short time this weekend, players will have the opportunity to receive the Mythical Pokémon Diancie as a free download for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
From July 24th (that's today!) to the 27th, people who own either game will be able to download the mythical Pokémon, (and star of the 17th Pokémon film), Diancie totally free of charge by connecting their 3DS to the Nintendo network via WiFi. Previously Diancie has only been available in the UK via a serial code obtained at GAME stores for Pokémon X and Y.

The Diancie will comes holding the item Diancite, a special stone that allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Diancie. Arriving at an already pretty high level 50, it comes with the ability Clear Body - a special ability that prevents its stats from being lowered mid-battle. In terms of move set, the Diancie will come pre-loaded with Diamond Storm, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect.
To be able to get your special Diancie your console must be connected to the internet and do the following:
- Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
- Select Receive Gift, then Yes.
- Select Get via Internet, and then Yes - Diancie will be obtained.
- Speak to the delivery girl in any Pokémon Center to receive Diancie.
- Save the game
Diancie will be available over Nintendo Network from July 24th-27th for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire - so make sure you don't wait too long!
