While World of Tanks has had a bit of a head start on console, its uncontested reign as the best free to play tank game on console is soon to come to an end, with the launch of Armored Warfare.
While we're not huge fans of the Americanised spelling, we are sold on the rest of the concept, as Armored Warfare brings a load of brand new tanks to the virtual battlefields, and places a lot of emphasis on co-op play. While you can still engage in tank based deathmatch style combat against a team of other players, Armored Warfare stands out from the free-to-play crowd by offering a substantial selection of co-op missions that pit you and a team of your friends against a squad of dastardly AI units.

With the game currently launching in "Early Access" on PS4, the only way to get in on the fun at the moment is to buy one of the Founder's Packs from the Playstation Store.
